COUNSELING AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), the mental health department of Student Health Services, offers a wide array of services along a continuum of intensity for various psychological issues. Many options are available from individual therapy or group therapy to workshops and support groups.

ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS COUNSELING

The Assessment, Choices, Treatment and Transitions (ACTT) is a program through CAPS that provides assessment, prevention, intervention and treatment services to reduce the risk associated with substance use and abuse within the Clemson University family. We strive to develop student awareness, knowledge and skills to increase personal and social responsibility in order to remove obstacles for student success.

CU CARES

A CAPS program that provides services for survivors of trauma. The program provides both individual and group counseling services by providers specialized in trauma treatment.

Interventions are evidenced based and specifically target trauma and its impact.

TIGERS TOGETHER

Tigers Together is Clemson University’s suicide prevention initiative.

Their primary purpose is to prevent suicide by decreasing risk factors, enhancing protective factors, facilitating gatekeeper workshops via our Tigers Together Advocate Training (TTAT) program, reducing stigma and creating an overall community of caring for the Clemson University family.

THERAPY ASSISTANCE ONLINE

TAO is an online library of engaging, interactive programs that help you learn life skills and bounce back from disappointments or obstacles. As you watch the videos and engage with the interactive components, you will gain the necessary knowledge and self-awareness to achieve your specific goals.

TAO provides an online library of resources, available whenever you need.

THE HARVEY AND LUCINDA GANTT MULTICULTURAL CENTER

The Harvey and Lucinda Gantt Multicultural Center is part of the Division of Inclusion and Equity and is committed to creating diverse learning environments that enhance the intercultural competence of our students. The center supports and advocates for the needs of all students, challenges students to think critically about themselves and their communities, provides engaging experiential learning opportunities and empowers students to be positive change agents.
