VCU COUNSELING SERVICES

The mission of University Counseling Services (UCS) is to create an environment that fosters student growth, development, and psychological well being through direct clinical service, education, and prevention. VCU ADVOCACY SERVICES

Students who are or have experienced sexual assault, dating violence, and/or stalking have the option to meet with a trained advocate who provides services such as Safety Planning, Support in gaining accommodations, Violence Prevention and Awareness Education, and more.

RAMS IN RECOVERY

Rams in Recovery provides structured support for students in recovery from substance use. They aim to ensure students do not have to choose between their recovery and their education. Additionally, they aim to support students inside and outside the classroom, organize events and trips, offer recovery housing and scholarships, and provide space and support for recovery meetings.

SAFE HARBOR

Safe Harbor serves those who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence, sexual violence, or human trafficking. They offer offer comprehensive services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking including: individual and group counseling, children/youth services, 24-hour helpline, court advocacy, emergency shelter, hospital accompaniment, and community education and training.

CENTER FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES AND DEVELOPMENT

The Center for Psychological Services and Development (CPSD) assists individuals and families in need of counseling and assessment with affordable services provided by professionals and graduate students in the mental health field. The CPSD offers therapy and assessment services, in-person and via telehealth, for a variety of concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, parenting, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity disorders as well as problems of daily living.

HENRICO AREA MENTAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

The Henrico area mental health and development services serves people experiencing the effects of or at risk for mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance use disorders and children with developmental delay. Henrico Area Mental Health & Developmental Services promotes dignity, recovery and self-sufficiency in the lives of the people they serve.
