If you’re reading this, I understand. I know that’s hard to believe because you have your own set of unique circumstances and everything feels so personal right now, but I promise you that there are people who will listen to your story and understand. Let yourself lean on those that you care about, and trust that they will take care of you. You are loved and supported.
Mental health is a hard thing to struggle with, and most of the time people ask you to struggle in silence. It’s totally fair to feel lost and alone. But it’s still important to remember that you’re not lost and alone. There are other people in the world that are going through something similar, and you can always find your way back to stability.
Nothing lasts forever. I know it might not feel that way right now- because when you’re struggling it feels like it’ll never end- but I promise you that it will. You will find your way back to happiness. The hardest part is just waiting for all of your hard work to finally pay off so you can feel at peace again.
But until that day comes, all you can do is reward yourself for the little things. Be proud of yourself for getting some of your homework done, even if you didn’t finish it all. Be proud of yourself for getting out of bed in the morning, even if you woke up late. Be proud of yourself for breathing and existing when your life gets really hard. It’s just as important as celebrating the big victories, and it will make your eventual happiness that much sweeter.
